• Message from the Chairman

  Welcome All, The new season 2012 for the canoe club is now upon us, as you are aware it's an Olympic year, and I hope it will be for the canoe club.

  Thank you all for being patient whilst the committee, (especially Ray) sort out the pool sessions which are now in full swing, running from January till the end of March. First week back in the pool saw a great number so keep it up. You can ask one of our coaches to help you with your paddling techniques or practice your rolling in the warm environment.

  It's fantastic to see a lot of new faces in the club. It's how we all started, making new friends with adventure in mind so don't be shy, talk to one of our members about the trips we provide. Read the full message...

• Trip Reports

  Report on the Lake District Trip from Andrew.

  If you would like to write a trip report or have some pictures to go with a report please email the club.

• Pool Sessions

  Pool sessions will restart on Friday 20th January until 30th March at Clements Hall. There will be no pool sessions on 17th February or 16th March due to river trips.

• Winter Trips

  Details of the new winter programme are now available on the calendar page.

• Evening Paddles

  Dates for mid-week evening paddles are now available on the calendar page.

• Battlesbridge Race

  The Battlesbridge Canoe Race will be held on Sunday 22nd July and this year will be organised by Richard.

• Maps

  We now have maps to the evening paddle venues, thanks to Clint. See the calendar page.
